The first edition of the IWT4S workshop/challenge was held on August 29, 2017 in Lecce (Italy) in conjunction with AVSS 2017. During the workshop Serge Palaric (Nvidia Europe) gave a keynote speech. IWT4S 2017 received 18 submissions of papers and, after a double blind revision process, 12 papers were accepted for oral presentation (Acceptance rate 66 %). On the challenge side we received 30 works, 12 of which (above the threshold) have been presented in an additional poster session.

The second edition of IWT4S took place on November 27, 2018 in Auckland (New Zeland) in conjunction with AVSS 2018. This time the keynote speech has been given by Jun-Wei Hsieh, National Taiwan Ocean University.
IWT4S 2018 received 12 submissions of papers and, after a double blind revision process, 6 papers were accepted for oral presentation (Acceptance rate 50 %). On the challenge side we received 6 works, 6 of which (above the threshold) have been presented in an additional poster session.
The challenge counted 20 submissions; 12 of which (above the acceptance threshold) have been presented in an ad hoc poster sessions during the workshop.
